The CompanyThe story of VIOSO starts in 2004 at the Bauhaus University in Weimar with the “smartprojector” venture. Through the subsequent creation of VIOSO GmbH in 2007, the brilliant idea of projection on any surface was presented to the marketplace in the form of a software package. Since then it has undergone a rigorous development programme and today a team of 13 employees apply themselves to achieve VIOSO’s goal: “To supply international software for presentations!”In 2010 the VIOSO Presenter was released as a brand new version of the old product smartprojecting. This software brings a change into the philosophy of presentations: away from simply show information to entertain you audience. Simply enhance your presentation without any previous knowledge. Use familiar programs such as PowerPoint, Word or PhotoShop as well as pictures, videos etc. and simply drag’n drop them into the VIOSO Presenter. Display your presentation with special 3 D effects such as picture-in-picture with a self chosen background image. Together with the media server specialist AV Stumpfl, VIOSO developed Wings VIOSO to create and control professional shows and events. Wings VIOSO is a combination of VIOSO-technology, therefore providing automatic multi display projections, stacking and warping in addition to wall correction technology and AV Stumpfl’s powerful media server Wings Platinum. Also, several bespoke projects according to client specifications are in progress under the name VIOSO development. TechnologyVIOSO’s basic intention is to make projection as simple as possible for everybody. Therefore, the software offers a variety of features to support the user in different situations and locations, making the VIOSO-technology the first projector manager tool worldwide.In addition, VIOSO’s patented technology enables anyone to project on almost any surface without deformation and discoloration! Regular building facades and brick walls become advertising spaces, cinemas and art objects. To create such a virtual “white canvas” a simple calibration process needs to occur. This takes no longer than a few minutes and requires only a digital camera, which is connected to a control computer for the period of the calibration. The camera records several patterns displayed by the projector and transfers the information to the software. After this, the VIOSO-technology adjusts all projected content automatically, creating the illusion of the content being projected onto a flat, white canvas. Vision of VIOSOSince the size of a mobile device is largely determined by the size of its display solutions for small mobile devices with large readable displays are becoming more and more prominent. Built-in pico-projectors are the most promising solution. Their ability to generate bigger images than any other screen technology would be capable of yet are small enough to be conveniently portable. VIOSO-technology is the only solution to allow the use of users environment as potential projection space to create large screens on the move.It’s the vision of VIOSO for their technology to be directly integrated into projectors of any kind as well as in the hardware of mobile phones, laptopsand other mobile devices.
